“bought costco brand hearing aids 4 years ago. Went back to correct the problems a couple times but was never satisfied therefore i only wore them maybe a total of 4 months off and on. Knowing my hearing was getting worse I went to NGA and had a very extensive hearing test by Dr Nunn. After a couple trial sessions I was fitted with a pair of aids . It's been a month now and I wear them everyday. They are a part of me now, fit well, and hear much much better. With the added accessory I can watch tv at my own volume and not bother others , also they work great with my i-phone.”

“This stressful process was made incredibly simple by Dr. Haiden Nunn. I used the word stressful, as that was my experience, prior to my wife finding Dr. Nunn. I had been to another doctor previously, hearing aids were pushed across a desk with no real instructions or expectations. That bad experience took place four years ago, resulting in my delayed decision, due to overwhelming confusion, the lack of instruction, and the failure of reasonable expectations. Dr Nunn walked me through step by step, gave me all the necessary tools to make my decision, and had a completely professional procedure to get the job done. Quite simply, the process was seamless at North Georgia Audiology.”

“I was greeted very well. I did not read other reviews for North Georgia Audiology. I needed someone that took my insurance. I was surprised at the hospitality I received. They were most welcoming. Greeted me with a smile not like “just another patient today”. The wait for the Doctor was almost a minute after I sat down, if that. I was totally surprised at how quick the Doctor came out. I was early for my appointment but they saw me anyway so I figured I would have to wait - No - they took me right on in. My exam was extensive, the Dr. was patient with me carefully explaining the difference between the hearing aides. How each hearing aide received sound and how you hear it. The more I listened to the Dr. the more I realized I may need to change my mind about what kind of aids I need to hear with. Also, you have to give yourself time to adjust to a new device to see how well it will work for you. You give your brain time to adjust as well. Time will tell how well I adjust. I am hoping for the best. ”

“My first visit was good, the doc was very kind but they only have the one hearing brand to try on. It’s a lot of money so I would be insane if I didn’t try other brands. So I did, turns out I really preferred the Oticon so I wanted to go back to this office to just try it on one more time and I was going to purchase them. They told me it would be $35 to come in and put it in my ear again. I agreed but then I had to change that appointment because I have Shingles neuralgia in my right ear and some days are really bad. Then they decided it would be $95 for me to try it on again. I couldn’t pay that so I made an appointment for the next week and unfortunately on the day of that appointment I was having a horrible neuralgia day and called to reschedule. They charged me $50 for a no show. I get it’s a business but I was about to literally pay thousands of dollars for their hearing aids. Don’t treat your customers like this because you lost a sale. When I explained the pain I have in my right ear to receptionist she didn’t really care. That’s when I realized I wasn’t a patient they cared about. They wanted my money and that’s it. ”

“I have been going to NGA for a number of years and purchased 3 pairs of hearing aids over that time. I started with Dr. Jan Henriques and since she left the practice I have been seeing Dr. Sarah Obarowski. She is wonderful - very professional, very knowledgeable and listens to my problems carefully. My hearing has become extremely poor and I have now been referred to another doctor who specializes in cochlear implants. Each pair of hearing aids has come with a 3 year insurance coverage that covers all repairs, batteries and replacements if lost or destroyed. There are a number of good audiologists and hearing aid centers but I don't think you'll find one better than Dr. Sarah and NGA.”

“Have been a patient for years. Service and people are great. I purchased an extended warranty last year to cover the cost of repairs since I am retired. I didn't want unexpected bills. They have never charged me anything until today. When picking up my repaired hearing aid I was told there now is a $45 charge for in office testing and cleaning. Whatever. I will have to pay it when my hearing aids stop working but it sure does make me angry. I guess they have to make some money locally if you have the coverage. Sad, sad.”

“Several years ago, I tried to use hearing aids as advised by my ENT. I was unable to make it past the trial period because they seemed to make my tinnitus worse, and I became extremely sensitive to sound. This experience frightened me away from giving hearing aids another try. Feeling that my hearing loss was interfering with my ability to enjoy life, I decide to try again. Dr. Nelms worked with me, and agreed that I might need to allow myself more time to adjust. I used the hearing aids only as long as they felt comfortable, and when sound seemed overwhelming, I took them out. This meant that it took several months for me to work up to using them all day long. But then an amazing thing happened; I noticed that the tinnitus was actually less intrusive at time. This is amazing progress to me, and I can't thank North Georgia Audiology enough. They listened to me, and treated me as an individual with specific problems rather than just another client.
