Dr. Lauren Crawford attended one of the top audiology programs in the nation. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science with honors in Speech Pathology and Audiology and a minor in music from the University of Texas at Dallas. She then proceeded to complete her Doctorate of Audiology at the University of Texas at Dallas/Callier Center for Communication Disorders.

Dr. Crawford specializes in auditory assessment, amplification, aural rehabilitation, remote microphone systems, and vestibular assessment. Dr. Crawford’s research experience and interests include hearing aids made for iPhones, remote microphone systems, and aural rehabilitation. She was awarded the 1st place Jerger Award for Excellence in Student Research for her research on made for iPhone hearing aids. She has facilitated aural rehabilitation in the DFW area since 2013. Additionally, she worked extensively in DFW school districts fitting students with hearing aids and remote microphone systems.

“My interest for audiology began when my younger brother was diagnosed with a hearing disorder. An audiologist helped our family communicate- now I love helping other families affected by hearing challenges improve their communication! I believe that hearing loss affects quality of life for both the individual with hearing loss and for the entire family. I want to help identify which relationships are affected by the hearing loss and what aspects of the individual’s life are affected by the hearing loss. Then, as a team, we can create and achieve personalized rehabilitation goals.”
