Dr. James Rubas is a licensed audiologist and hearing aid dispenser who earned his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Cortland and his doctorate in audiology from the University of Connecticut. He holds a certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Rubas has clinical experience in both medical and private practice settings and is skilled in diagnostic testing for hearing and balance. He participates in continued education to stay current in new hearing aid technology and diagnostic processes.

“I was visiting my 105 year old Mom in New Rochelle. On Christmas Day her hearing aids were broken beyond repair. I contacted The Visiting Audiologists by email on “Christmas Day” and received a prompt response which I thought to be impossible on this Holiday. An appointment was made for the next day. Mom was treated with the utmost care and patience. Her hearing was tested and then determined what the best hearing aid would be with minimum fuss. I explained to the Doctor that this was an Emergency situation as I would be returning back to California in several days. 3 days later Mom received her hearing Aids. Their service was Caring, swift and efficient during a Holiday period and I highly recommend them. One word says it all “excellent”.”
“My first visit was in Manhattan to correct mis-adjusted hearing aids. Dr. Rubas tested my hearing, carefully readjusted the aids and recommended different tips. Careful , competent, considerate and courteous. Very satisfactory result. Much appreciated. ”
