Dr. Ashley is an audiologist and owner of The Hearing Doctors, Inc. She received her bachelor degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences at Eastern Illinois University. She then attended Northern Illinois University to obtain her Doctor of Audiology degree. Dr. Ashley began her career working as a clinical audiologist in a private practice in the Northern suburbs of Illinois. She then went to work for a global hearing aid manufacturer. Her combination of clinical and corporate experience gives her a unique perspective on the hearing aid industry. Dr. Ashley is dedicated to providing trusted patient care and ensuring that patients know their options.
Taylor Bender,
AuD
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Taylor Bender is a licensed Audiologist. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Science and Disorders at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and her clinical doctorate in Audiology from Northern Illinois University.
Dr. Taylor has clinical experience working in various settings such as private practice, ENT, and The Northwestern Illinois Association working with school-aged children. Overall, her expertise and passion is working one-on-one with patients to provide the most recent evidence-based practices and patient centered care. Dr. Taylor’s main goal is to create a relationship with her patients to make sure patients feel welcomed, informed, and ensure trust for the best long term success for each patient.
Dr. Taylor is a published author in the Metabolic Syndrome and Related Disorders journal on her work in diagnostic audiometry and HbA1c levels. She is additionally part of Illinois Audiology Association and American Academy of Audiology.
In her spare time Dr. Taylor enjoys reading, pilates, and spending time with her family. She got married in 2021 and currently resides in the Western Suburbs.
Rita Matthews
Office Manager
Rita our office manager has been with The Hearing Doctors for almost 14 years. Her most precious blessings in life are her husband Keith of 42 years, her 4 children, and 10 grandchildren. When she's not working and handling the many daily office tasks, in her free time she enjoys riding her bike, walking a trail nearby or watching cooking programs. Rita also loves attending all of the kiddos’ sporting events and other activities with them, like making gingerbread houses and decorating cookies!

“I started going to Dr. Billing almost 3 years ago. My father used her before he passed away. His hearing aids were good ones and I wondered if I could have them programmed for me, to use as a backup pair. I brought me hearing test from the audiologist I used. Not only did she re- program them for me and but has done much more. She has done everything from cleaning to care for some major repairs. All for very reasonable prices and often no charge. When time came for new ones she gave me a new test and guided me a great pair that I’m very pleased with. Also the price was great. I know this because I had previously gotten quotes from the national hearing aid chain I had been using. I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else.”

We have taken additional precautions such as scheduling all appointments with significant time gaps between them to ensure you do not come in contact with other patients (and to give us ample time to clean and sanitize our spaces between appointments). Our appointments are still one-on-one and patient focused to specifically minimize any risk to you. All patients are required to wear masks.
