Audiologist
Dr. Matthew Wetmore earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Illinois State University as a special Education major, specializing in Deaf Education. After working in Deaf Education, he decided to pursue his education further to obtain his doctorate degree in Audiology.
Upon completing his undergraduate coursework, Dr. Wetmore taught for two years as an itinerant teacher of the deaf where he worked with children of various ages with hearing loss. He then decided to pursue his passion of becoming an audiologist at Illinois State University. Matthew was an active member of the Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) devoting two years as the Chair of Community Outreach in his local chapter.
Dr. Wetmore was born with hearing loss and successfully utilizes a cochlear implant and hearing aid. His clinical experience features a broad array of services ranging from pediatrics through adults. He enjoys developing relationships with his patients and helping them navigate the various challenges of hearing loss and bringing the joy of communication back into their lives.

“I have been to this location twice and have had the same superior experience both times. All staff are friendly, proficient, knowledgeable and the facility is clean and well set-up. I can't recommend this business highly enough. (I mean, the name is Happy Ears and the employees and providers are actually "happy" - how often does that happen in today's world?) After my testing, since I commute to this location, they even guided me to one of the best breakfast burritos I have eaten to date: maybe they have a Happy list of like-minded establishments or belong to a Happy Co-op of businesses. All kidding aside, if you are looking for a comprehensive, professional, and... yes... Happy place to take your business and have your specific needs met and exceeded, this is the place! Cheers.”
