Nathan Willard established SoundScape Hearing Aids in 2011 to provide his clients with a fresh and improved approach, departing from traditional methods. He recognizes that people don't desire hearing aids themselves—they want to hear—and he enjoys helping people connect with others.
Prior to becoming a Hearing Aid Specialist, Nathan graduated from seminary and served in the U.S. Air Force in Minot, ND. His involvement with acoustics, sound equipment, electronics, computers, and sound manipulation began in college, where he also pursued roles as a musician, sound technician, and filmmaker.
Since his teenage years, Nathan has served in various ministry roles, honing his skills in listening and his commitment to helping others. He enjoys spending his free time making movies and being with his family, often combining these activities as his children love creating videos with him.
With eight years of experience as a Hearing Aid Specialist, Nathan has worked with all major hearing aid brands. This expertise is crucial for SoundScape, which fits refurbished hearing aids for the Southern Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Center. He also frequently attends training seminars from various manufacturers to stay current with the latest and most innovative technology.

“This is my first experience wearing hearing aids. With Nathan’s professionalism and caring attitude he extinguished my inhibitions, anxieties and doubts. Nathan is very knowledgeable. He patiently answered all my questions and calmly explained what to expect and how the experience would be. He made sure that all of my low ranges of hearing loss were adjusted properly. I was able to hear and enjoy sounds, as I used to. His experience helping older people is his strength! He certainly didn’t mind answering whatever questions I had big or small.
