Clinic details

Hear for life!

Athens Oconee Audiology provides expert, professional and comprehensive services to children and adults for the prevention, assessment and treatment of hearing disorders. We assess and treat the symptoms of hearing loss, tinnitus and hyperacusis with an emphasis on prevention. Dr. Cohen and Mrs. Hardin evaluate, fit and dispense hearing aids, ear molds, ear protection and assistive technology. Our new facility is equipped with state-of-the-art testing tools to allow us to best diagnose and treat your symptoms. Prior to treatment, each patient will undergo a complete audiological evaluation, with test results interpreted and appropriate referrals made to other professionals. Evaluation, treatment and management will then be coordinated with the patient's primary physician and other health professionals, such as speech language pathologists and physical and occupational therapists. We firmly believe that it is very important to work hand-in-hand with other health professionals to ensure that patients receive the very best continuity of care. In addition to audiological evaluation, Athens Oconee Audiology will provide individual and group counseling for patients with hearing loss, tinnitus and hyperacusis. When personal hearing aids or devices are recommended, additional counseling and orientation to the device will be provided as patient education and counseling are key ingredients to success with personal amplification.
