Animas Valley Audiology - Durango

Owner Dr. Chandace Jeep earned her Clinical Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Northern Colorado and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and Colorado Academy of Audiology.  Having worked in a variety of settings including a private neurotology practice and consulting for a manufacturer of hearing aids, she is expert in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss in newborns through adults and fitting hearing instruments and bone anchored hearing aids.  In addition to her private practice, Dr. Jeep serves as the Audiology Regional Coordinator for two local birthing hospitals.   Outside of work, her interests include hiking the beautiful Colorado mountains, snowshoeing and golf. 

Dr. Beth Connors has been practicing audiology since 1994. She received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Audiology from Radford University in Virginia in 1992 and 1994.  She received her Doctorate of Audiology from Salus University (formerly Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiology) in 2005.

Dr. Connors practiced audiology in Virginia for 27 years and has worked mainly with ENT physicians, helping to diagnose abnormal hearing disorders and dispense amplification. She works with adults and older children. She loves learning and is interested in how hearing affects cognition, especially memory and Executive Function. She enjoys getting to know patients on a personal level and finding out what their interests are.

Dr. Connors was born in Florida but lived all over the country growing up, including Colorado. She moved here from Arlington, Virginia where she has lived for the past 35 years. She is looking forward to exploring the area and likes to hike, bike, read, practice yoga and try new things. Beth has a daughter, a son and an orange tabby cat.

Kristianna Bartel joined our team as our Practice Administrator in 2015. She has extensive background in Practice Management, working as a Practice Manager since 2011. Kristianna has worked in the medical field for 10+ years and enjoys the satisfaction that comes with getting to know and understand the patients. Kristianna studied English at Fort Lewis College and Oklahoma University. She is a native of Durango, CO and loves her hometown. Her interests outside of work include watching her kids play sports, playing volleyball and spending time with her family.
