“I had an appointment at Carolina Crossing today to have new hearing aids fitted. Unfortunately, the wrong hearing aids had been ordered. So, the correct ones need to get ordered, and I got another appointment that is 6 weeks from now for the fitting. I do not fault Sally, who helped me, with any part of this, and trust her to get the right hearing aids ordered, I believe the fault lies with Jacob who I saw on Nov. 12 for a consultation about new hearing aids. We exchanged several messages in MyChart, and my decision for which model I wanted was sent to him that way. He had the information needed, and I feel he had the responsibility to see that the order was made correctly. As this is a significant purchase, you might consider having your customers verify an order is correct as you are about to send it to your vendors.”

This UNC Hospitals Hearing and Voice Center at Carolina Crossing is an Audiology and Speech Pathology satellite clinic staffed by an interdisciplinary team of four audiologists and two speech-language pathologists who work collaboratively with the physicians from the UNC Ear and Hearing Center.
