“I liked the test itself and actually getting my hearing aids put on so I could see what it was like with hearing aids. It was great. I would have bought the hearing aids, I just didn't have the money yet.”

After discussing your medical history and a through examination of your ears any or all of the following tests will be administered:

  • Pure Tone

  • Speech (or word recognition)
  • Tympanometry
  • Acoustic Reflex
  • Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR)
  • Otoacoustic Emissions (OAEs)

Hearing Aid Fitting & Counseling - If hearing aids are recommended, equally important is the fitting process and counseling.

  • Fitting Process - For hearing aids to work effectively, they must be carefully programmed to match your specific hearing loss based on the results of your test. Adjustments may also be necessary to ensure your hearing aids are tailored to your needs for maximum benefits.

However, symptoms can often be managed successfully through a number of different strategies. Which include:

  • Acoustic therapy
  • Tinnitus retraining therapy
  • Steroid injections

Pediatric Audiology, ENT and Balance Services

Newborn and Pediatric Hearing Loss - While most babies are born with normal hearing, there are some who do have a hearing loss at birth, or develop one early in childhood. risk factors may include: premature birth or other complications, family history of hearing loss, frequent or chronic ear infections, infections such as meningitis or cytomegalovirus or exposure to very loud noises

Babies rely on their hearing right from the start in order to develop speech and language skills. The Earlier You Catch Your Child’s Hearing Loss, The Better. Left untreated, a hearing loss can lead to delays in language development and social coping skills. If there is a problem, early detection can prevent many of these issues, and put your child on the proper track for learning.
