Jennifer graduated with honors from the University of Colorado at Boulder where she studied speech, language, and hearing sciences. She has been working in the hearing care industry since 2002 and joined our staff in May of 2005. As a student, she was a member of her university’s ASL (American Sign Language) club and audiology society, as well as the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association. More recently, she was presented with Audigy’s 2016 Provider of Distinction Award.
Her fascination with hearing loss began when she took her first ASL class at 16. Through her experience in class and getting to know the local deaf community, she became passionate about human connections and communication. She decided to study speech, language, and hearing science in college, which required her to practice hearing evaluations. She tested her parents, who both showed signs of hearing loss that could be improved with the use of hearing aids. Her love for helping people reconnect with their lives deepened. She’s incredibly proud to be a part of the longest-serving hearing care practice in Boulder County and a team that takes pride in exceptional customer service.
Outside of helping people hear, she loves to dance. She has practiced ballet for over 30 years and has recently started to learn Argentine tango. ASL is still a big part of her life, and she regularly uses it with her patients.

“I thought that the hearing test was not thorough when I got new hearing aids from Family Hearing.
I went back three times for adjustments and still the hearing aids were not as good as my 4 year old hearing aids that cost 3 times less than the hearing aids from Family Hearing.
I am not using the aids from Family Hearing.”

“Went in to consider new hearing aids, since mine were 5+ years old and new tech was everywhere. New hearing test and check of the programming in the old aids (Phonak) showed there were adjustments available that would improve their performance. No pushing for the new tech, excellent explanations of my hearing loss and how much my old aids could improve things, which I never had from my last audiologist. Much appreciated! I'm doing fine with the adjustments and no new aids for me right now!”

“If there was a 10 star rating the Family Hearing Center would get it from me! They not only have the expertise to personalize your hearing needs to your life but they provide service with a heart! I have a 70% hearing loss in one ear and at least 45% in the other; without my hearing aids I'm lost...whenever I have needed help they've been there and filled in the gap. This last December my son was in the process of dying of pancreatic cancer; I lost my hearing aid in the hospital and he was coming home with hospice. The Family Hearing Center provided me with a hearing aid that matched mine so I could hear my son's last words. There are no words to describe how much this means.
