Lakeland Hearing Care

Dr. Nail is the Senior Director of Audiology at Lakeland Hearing Care and Central Florida Speech and Hearing Center. She is a Clinical Audiologist and received her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of South Florida in 2016. She joined the Center’s team in 2015 while in her residency and was blessed to stay on the team after graduation. She feels privileged to work at a clinic that takes the time to build relationships with patients while following best practices for hearing healthcare.

Dr. May is the Audiology Director of Operations at Lakeland Hearing Care and Central Florida Speech and Hearing Center. She is a Clinical Audiologist and earned her Doctorate of Audiology and Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Science & Disorders from the University of Florida. Her clinical externship was completed at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL and she joined Central Florida Speech and Hearing Center in June of 2014.

Dr. Perez is a graduate from Wayne State University (in Michigan), where she earned her Doctorate of Audiology degree in May of 2015. Upon completing her residency at Michigan Ear Institute, she relocated to Lakeland, FL and joined The Barranco Clinic full-time, working in the medical field of audiology. A few years later, she joined Central Florida Speech and Hearing as a clinical audiologist in February of 2018. She was very happy to join the Center as the only Spanish speaking Audiologist as she am a native from Yauco, Puerto Rico.

She is well versed in all fields of Audiology; however, her passion lies predominantly in clinical diagnostics, hearing aids, and implantable devices including osseointegration devices (BAHA) and cochlear implants of all age groups. She is also a part of the local craniofacial team which meets at the Center.

Dr. Bonadio joined the Center as a Clinical Audiologist in May 2023. She grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, but has called Ohio, Texas, and Florida her homes along the way. She graduated with her Doctorate in Audiology in 2020 from the University of Texas at Dallas before finding her way to Lakeland, where she worked at Watson Clinic’s Hearing Center for over 2 years. She lives in Lakeland with her husband and their Boston Terrier, Nutmeg.

Dr. Cardoso-Chavez is a clinical audiologist at Lakeland Hearing Care and Central Florida Speech and Hearing Center. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Florida in 2018.  Afterwards, she furthered her education and earned a Doctorate of Audiology degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2022. She has a passion for helping individuals achieve better hearing health and enjoys working with all populations, from pediatric to geriatric. She is particularly passionate about diagnostics, tinnitus and fitting hearing aids using best practices. She is also fluent in both English and Spanish, enabling her to provide comprehensive services in both languages.

Dr. LaLonde is a clinical Audiologist that has been practicing since 2002. She earned a Master of Science degree from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and earned a Doctorate of Audiology in 2008 from Arizona School of Healthcare Sciences/A.T. Still University.

With over 20 years of experience, she is well versed in all areas of Audiology and enjoys them all. Her experience has varied from ENT practices, private practice and ownership, hospital and VA experience, vestibular/balance diagnostics and rehabilitation, aural diagnostics and rehabilitation, auditory brainstem response and P300 potentials. Her role on this wonderful team of practitioners is Outreach and New Services Development and Promomotion.

Tomi is a Hearing Aid Specialist at Lakeland Hearing Care and Central Florida Speech & Hearing Center. She has been practicing since 2008 and joined the Cebter in November 2021. She is from Dade City, Florida and worked in a clinic in that area for the past 17 years. 

Tomi enjoys troubleshooting and problem solving with her patients to ensure that all of their hearing needs are being met. She enjoys the challenge of her profession to help people hear their friends and family better. It is her greatest passion knowing that she can contribute to someone understanding their grandchildren better, to enjoy their conversations with their spouse, to interact with a group at a restaurant or church, or to hear the television clearly.

Brandi has been a licensed audiology assistant since 2010. She loves working with hearing aids and assisting with diagnostic testing. She supports the entire audiology team and is the backbone of the department!
