Jennifer Adams, AuD, CCC-A joined HearingLife (formerly Ross Hearing Center) in 2014. She received her doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Jennifer strives to increase her patient’s quality of life through better hearing. Her main focus is counseling patients and their families on hearing loss as well as discussing solutions to best fit the patient's needs. Jennifer moved to Northwest Indiana from Platteville, Wisconsin in 2014 with her husband, two sons and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her boys at their sporting events, baking, shopping and getting outdoors as much as possible when the weather is nice.

“When I came in for my review appointment my hearing I was greeted by a friendly office staff at the front desk forgot her name and then when it was my time to go back there for my tests I met Jennifer very very friendly and I was amazed of how wonderful and how amazing these devices are I was back there in 2014 and didn't purchase nothing but since my insurance would be able to pay for it I said let's go for it because I suffer from that ringing in my ears and when she tried on hearing aids it seems to mask that noise that is always there except when I'm sleep I don't hear so five stars for your office on 80th and look forward to getting my new hearing aid and She said I could just try them out for a while and if I need to upgrade or downgrade whatever I will know what to do thank you May God bless this business and have many many more customers”

“I went and got my initial hearing test that was supposed to be free. They wanted to charge me $6000 for hearing aids, they told me what hearing aids to get. I found a company online that would sell me the hearing aids for $2000 and set them up for free, while she was going to charge me $1000 and when I went to get my free hearing test, they charged me $120 because I wasn't going to buy their $6000 hearing aids. She told me what to get, and she said she would charge me $1000 to have them set them up, and this other company said they would do it for free, all I needed was my hearing test that she took, that was supposed to be free. First, they didn't want to give it to me, so I called up my lawyer and I found out they had to give it to me, so I went in and they charged me $120. Initially, my experience there was very good but once they found out I wasn't going to buy their $6000 hearing aids, it became a 1, the worst. They advertise a free hearing evaluation and I went in there because other places were charging a hundred and some dollars for one. I asked if it was free, they said yes, but when I didn't use their services for the hearing aids, it costed me what the other places wanted. I don't recommend them to anyone. ”

“Dear Michael, Thank you for your feedback. Here at Ross Hearing Centers, we take patient satisfaction very seriously. We apologize that your experience here did not meet your expectations. We feel that there may have been a misunderstanding; we offer free basic hearing evaluations and provide the results of that to patients at no cost when requested. When a patient requests a comprehensive audiological examination for the purpose of the dispensing of hearing aids, there is a cost associated with that level of testing and the copies of those results are included, when requested, at no additional charge. When a patient's hearing loss can be helped with hearing aids, we recommend specific devices based on that individual's loss, lifestyle needs and budget. When there are prohibitive budget constraints, we are sometimes able to refer patients to various programs where they might be able to acquire hearing help at no cost, if eligible. Unlike hearing aids purchased online, the cost of hearing aids purchased directly from us includes annual screenings, updates in programming, cleanings and batteries for the lifetime of the hearing aids. This ensures we keep our patients happy and hearing as best as they can. Our hearing aid services are provided by licensed professionals with years of specific education and clinical experience. These services have significant value. We also do offer programming and professional dispensing services for hearing aids that were acquired elsewhere; for those services, we charge customary professional fees. If you have any additional questions or if there is anything else we can do to serve your hearing needs, please don't hesitate to call our office.
