Mike Tysklind is a licensed, board-certified audiologist with years of experience helping people hear their best. His specialties include adult audiology, hearing aid fittings and occupational hearing loss. He is a graduate of Purdue University and a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. He holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

Central Iowa’s only hospital-based audiology program is UnityPoint Health - Des Moines. We offer comprehensive audiometric/audiological testing and treatment services (including hearing instrument fittings) for individuals of all ages.
Your hearing is very important to both you and your hearing healthcare professionals at UnityPoint Health - Des Moines. We are here to assist you and/or your children in whatever way we can to ensure that your quality of life is not negatively impacted due to hearing issues.
It's easy to get to our office: Park off of Woodland Avenue on the Powell side of Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Enter the building thru the BLUE covered awning entrance and take the elevator to the 3rd floor. When you get off the elevator, the office is to the left, Suite 301.
Hearing care services
From hearing instruments to assistive listening devices, we have access to the latest in hearing instrument technology in various style options and various pricing levels. We also offer custom earmolds for various applications (ie, hearing protection, motorcycles, telephone headsets). Interpretive services, including sign language are available upon request. We participate with Iowa Medicaid and other major health insurance providers. Payment plans are available.
