“I called Imaginears for an audiology check since I was saying, "what?" too often to questions directed at me. I first contacted them in late September. Anna, the receptionist was very cheerful and accommodating as she explained what would happen at a first meeting with the audiologist. That appointment was set for October 4. When I arrived, Audiologist Dr. Tangel, was most welcoming and generous with her time, explaining how the hearing test would be conducted, and what I could expect. My ears were also cleaned per request by Dr. Tangel who, upon examination, found that there was wax buildup. After the test, it was noted that I have a hearing loss with tones in the higher register most affected. She recommended hearing aids and patiently explained why she was choosing the ones she did. They weren't in house, but I was given an appointment for October 13, when they would be in stock and she could fit them to me. I came in on that date, and was fitted with my new oticon hearing aids. These are not your mother's hearing aids! I've had them for 10 days and couldn't be happier. I can now hear things which were out of range before and am able to keep the radio at a much lower level. Dr. Tangel is most patient and educated in the task of fitting hearing aids and working to find the best fit, for each person. She is also willing to answer any amount of questions a patient can come up, Being told that one could benefit from the use of hearing aids is a rather scary proposition to field, but my qualms were put to rest quickly. Knowing that research has established hearing loss as an important risk factor in developing dementia, it behooves everyone to take that into consideration when deciding whether to do so, or not. A new study published last December offered evidence that managing hearing loss may potentially help reduce or delay cognitive decline. That was enough for me!! I give Imaginears two "ears" up in helping me decide what to do and how to save my hearing and my brain.”

“I have had my hearing aids for two weeks. I am receiving excellent one on one care from Dr. Hildreth in a calm, quiet setting. She answers all my questions, advises me on what to expect and not expect and plans to make adjustments as I become adjusted to them. I can hear better!”
