“I recently had a hearing test summer 2022. My hearing has declined even more this fall. I am in the process of getting a cochlear implant. I am a teacher struggling to hear my young students. A more up to date hearing test was recommended. When I called MaineGeneral Audiology in Waterville and asked for another way to be contacted I was told they only take phone calls. I asked what people do who can’t hear well, because you generally don’t get a hearing test when everything is fine. I was told I needed to get someone else to help me. Furthermore when they left a message on the answering machine that my husband listened to several times there was no date only a time. When I called back, they said they couldn’t find the referral and I had to start the referral process over. ”
