Kelsey Haldeman,
AuD

Audiologist

Dr. Kelsey Haldeman grew up with a hearing loss and started wearing hearing aids when she was 18. When it came time for choosing a major, she wasn’t sure which route to go. Since she had seen an audiologist many times during her childhood, she started taking audiology intro courses at Middle Tennessee State University. The rest is history! She earned her Bachelor’s of Science at MTSU in 2013. Dr. Haldeman joined HearTN in 2016 as a student. She loved the practice so much she never left! She began practicing in 2017 after earning her Doctor of Audiology degree from Auburn University.  She won’t hold it against you if you are a Bama fan – football strangely enough isn’t her thing. Rather, you might find her at a local dance studio reliving her past as a hip hop dancer in college. She loves dancing in the kitchen with her husband Max, son Jack, and her beloved Goldendoodle Sophie AKA “The Pup.”

“After completing 1 year on the Lenier treatment I can give a comfortable review. Am I completely healed, no. But is my day to day life better for it ? Yes indeed. I can now understand how my brain reacts to the ringing and basically I can recognize it and choose to not overreact and continue with my day and not let it control me. The treatment is a process and you will be talking with your doctor on monthly basis. My docto was Dr. Welch she is very easy and understanding to work with. It was a at times like a roller coaster ride, but at the end you are thrilled and hopefully smiling. Is my tinnitus healed? No it isn't. Is the Lenier treatment worth it? In my case I would say yes. I can now cope with it without it completely controlling me. Make an appointment with Dr. Welch at one of her offices and see if the Lenier treatment is right for you. ”

“Kelsey was my doctor when I needed some totally unfamiliar tests. She was extremely patient and explained clearly (and in layman’s language) what I was about to experience. She didn’t rush through the procedures and made sure I could ask any questions. She is personable and has a kind way of making me follow directions. For example, “Please try to keep your eyes open as I wouldn’t want to repeat these tests.” Afterwards she explained what she knew, again clearly. First class visit thanks to Kelsey.”
