Audiologist/President

My passion for healthcare began at a young age when I discovered the joy of helping others. Growing up in Dakota Dunes, SD, I attended the University of South Dakota, where I earned both my Bachelor's and Doctorate degrees. During my residency, I spent a year at an Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic in Maryville, TN. For the past three years, I have dedicated my time and energy to my patients, striving to ensure everyone who leaves our office feels like part of our family.

Speaking of family, my husband Ryan and I recently welcomed our first baby, Bennet Dean. We cherish our time with him, watching him grow and learn. We also have two dogs, Moski and Maya, who will always be our first babies. I am incredibly grateful to lead the Stanford Hearing Aids family.

Audiologist

I am a board-certified audiologist originally from India and have been residing in the United States for over a decade. I earned my Doctorate in Audiology from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, and am a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. I stay active in the audiology field by keeping up with the latest hearing aid technology and current tinnitus research. After graduation, I relocated to Sioux Falls to be closer to family. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son, listening to music, and traveling. My approach to patient care is to treat each patient as a family member and enhance their quality of life through better hearing.

Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist

Though I was born and raised in Southwestern Minnesota, I have lived in South Dakota for over 30 years. Before joining Stanford Hearing in 1983, I worked with Roland Hearing Aid and Optical for several years. I became licensed for hearing aid dispensing in 1983 and earned my National Board Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences in 1994. I am dedicated to helping people achieve better hearing. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family (my husband Ron, our son, daughter, and son-in-law), reading, listening to music, and volunteering.

The problem is not a disease itself but rather a symptom of an underlying condition.

Treating the Cause - Common causes of tinnitus include:

  • Stress and depression
  • Hearing loss
  • Exposure to loud noises
  • Earwax buildup or blockages
  • Abnormal bone growth in the ear

  • Benign tumor of the cranial nerve

Tinnitus Management -  Several treatments are available, including medical options as well as alternative therapies. In order to find out the root cause of your tinnitus, we request your complete medical history and conduct a comprehensive hearing evaluation. While there isn’t a cure, there are evidence-based solutions to improve the effects Tinnitus has on your life. Stanford Hearing provides a comprehensive program that benefits patients suffering from Tinnitus:

  • Our program consists of 4 comprehensive, 90-minute sessions at weekly/biweekly intervals. These sessions follow an incremental learning-based approach to explore four impact areas of tinnitus: thoughts and emotions, hearing and communication, sleep, and concentration.
