Jaime Avenall,
HIS

Hearing Instrument Specialist

Jaime C. Avenall grew up right here in the beautiful Northland of Minnesota. She is a third-generation Hearing Instrument Specialist, basically growing up in the industry. Jaime holds a license to dispense from the State of Minnesota and has been in practice since 2011 working alongside her father until branching out on her own and joining the HearingLife team.

She is married to a retired MSgt with the USAF, and is his caregiver. Being a professional musician, Jaime feels that gives her a step up with her understanding of tones and frequencies. She is also an animal lover, with their German Shepherd, Lexi, their cats, Booger and Ping, their 15 chickens, 7 turkeys, and too many quail to count. Her father is still in practice as well, and they still have their little personal contests as they did when they worked together. She also feels the need to wave and say, "Hi, Mom!"

“Very nice office. I came early for both of my appointments and didn’t have to wait long to get in. Jaime did an excellent job getting me set up with new hearing aids. ”

“Customer service is horrible. Receptionist is rude. Has an appt at 3:00. Took walk ins before us. We got in after 3:30. Today we stopped in to get an adjustment and we’re told there were too many people coming in & they didn’t even have lunch yet!! I would NEVER have purchased aids here if I would have known about Customer Service !!”

“Worst customer service I’ve ever had. Wanted to make an appointment to get one hearing aid fixed. They said I could only come as a walk in between 1 and two on certain days. So that’s what I did. They ended up sending hearing aid in. I explained that it’s a two hour round trip for me to come to Duluth and wanted to know if they could send it to me once it was repaired. They said yes. Two weeks later they said it was repaired and I should come pick it up. They would not send it to me. Again I asked for an appointment to pick it up and was told to come in as a walk in again. So drive to Duluth again pick up hearing aid and the person there did not know how to pair it with my phone and other hearing aid. So I go home and call the next day to talk to a tech. She said they were not in but would have them call me. Well after me calling them several times each week and getting the same answer (tech will call you) two weeks later after me pestering them a tech finally calls me. Talks me through the pairing details and still can’t get them to work together. So she said I have to bring them in again to reprogram them as one was old update and other was new, so they were incompatible. So I drive the two hour round trip again(with appointment this time with tech and finally got the issue resolved. It only took over five weeks to get them fixed. Crappy customer service!!!!!”

“Had an appointment at 3:00 when we got there there was someone ahead of us. At my appointment time(3:00)they called him in and it took 35 minutes. By the the comment of the previous person , it was apparent he hadn’t had an appointment. We had an appointment to pick up our grandkids at school at 4:00. When we got in we had to hurry, we still weren’t able to pick them up. We had to call there mother to cancel her conference call ”
