“Dr. Russell is exemplary in every way. He was recommended to me because of very similar circumstances of hearing loss. He enabled me to go from a very traumatic injury to being able to hear again. My quality of life was tremendously changed. He had to fine tune adjustments several times, and was very patient with me. He knows everything there is to know about hearing aids and shares for the common good. I would recommend Appalachian State to anyone. I travel over an hour to get there. ”

“Audiologist checked Humana via computer-insurance Covered. (Wrong) Little if any f/u care. After delay, Hearing aids sent for repair after delay. Emphasis on payment. Humana, paid for hearing aids by kindness. Hounded about money. Hearing aids sent via mail. Program not applied. Many weeks with suffering. Do not assume association with ASU implies skills .”

“Dr. Russell is awesome!! He patiently listens to your needs and concerns while providing custom and quality care. He is a straight shooter when it comes to recommendations for hearing aid brands and their options. I had a difficult time transitioning to life with hearing aids...and he was instrumental to the success of my new quality of life. My hearing has improved so much and I owe it to him and his quality staff.”
