Doctor of Audiology

Caitlin Marczewski attended SUNY Geneseo and graduated in 2008 with her Bachelors of Science in Communicative Disorders and Sciences. After graduating, she worked in a private practice as a hearing aid dispenser.  Realizing her need for more education. Caitlin completed her doctorate in Audiology at Towson University in Maryland. Her completed thesis, “Survey of Auditory Processing Protocols and Perceptions of Speech-Language Pathologists in Comparison with Perceptions of Audiologists” was presented at the American Speech Language and Hearing Association conference in 2013.  During her time in Maryland Caitlin completed clinical rotations at Johns Hopkins, University of Maryland Medical Center and St. Agnes Hospital. She specializes in both audiologic and vestibular evaluations, Auditory Processing evaluations as well as hearing aid fittings.

Caitlin resides in South Buffalo with her two Maine Coon cats. Beyond work she enjoys outdoor activities, hiking, mountain biking, skiing or gardening. She is also a member of Sombra de la Luna flamenco.

Julia Murak, Au.D. CCC-A graduated from Le Moyne College in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology minor. She went on to receive her Doctorate in Audiology from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2017. Julia completed her 4th year externship at Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center and continued on as a clinical audiologist following graduation. She enjoys working with both pediatric and adult patients and finds getting to know her patients and their unique circumstances to be the most fulfilling aspect of her profession.
Julia is from East Aurora, but currently resides in Buffalo. Julia enjoys everything Western New York has to offer, from the beautiful four seasons to the variety of food and entertainment. She is a proud Buffalo Bills season ticket holder and knows that this year they are going all the way.

“It was fine. I took my son for an evaluation for Auditory Processing Disorder. To be honest, it was a shock to me that he had that, so I was quite upset when I left. I kind of felt that she could have answered more of my questions and told me more about it. She basically said that she did the evaluation but I wanted more of an explanation of the evaluation. I was crying when I got to my car - I was just very upset that my son had that. She basically just told me her job was to do the evaluations and I should speak to the school so they could explain it more to me. ”
