Jim Burson,

Dr. of Otolaryngology
Dr. Jim Burson opened his private practice in January 2017 to continue providing the exceptional medical and surgical ENT care that his patients in Coweta, Fayette and surrounding counties have enjoyed since 1995. His emphasis is to provide quality, compassionate, and evidence-based general otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat) services.
Dr. Burson was born in Carrollton, Ga. He attended Davidson College (B.S.) then Emory University Medical School (M.D.) and Emory University Affiliated Hospitals for internship/residency (General Surgery/Otolaryngology). He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. Dr. Burson began practicing in Newnan, GA in 1995 and expanded his ENT practice into Peachtree City in 2010.
Sydney Cowing,

Audiologist
Dr. Sydney Cowing graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders in 2010 and went on to receive her Doctorate of Audiology from Auburn University in 2014. She completed her clinical rotations and externship at ENT Associates of Alabama, Central Alabama ENT Associates, and Columbus Speech and Hearing Center with an emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric and adult hearing loss and vestibular disorders.
Dr. Cowing is licensed audiologist in the state of Georgia and has worked for Dr. Burson since 2014.
Erica Lanphear,
AuD
Audiologist
Dr. Erica Lanphear graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 2017 and went on to receive her Doctorate of Audiology from Purdue University in 2023. She is licensed in the state of Georgia and has worked for Dr. Burson since 2023.
Dr. Lanphear completed her clinical rotations and externship at Hearing Solutions of Indiana, Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, and the Medical University of SC. with an emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric and adult hearing loss and vestibular disorders.
Jill Scott
DNP-FNP
Jill Scott DNP-FNP is a family nurse practitioner and has been with Dr. Burson since 2019. She also has been serving the local Coweta County area for the past 4 years in Pediatrics and Urgent Care. In 2014 Jill graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then went on to receive her Masters in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Augusta University.
Jill grew up in Newnan and lives in the area with her husband and two boys.
